Tips for better golf action shots?

♥lilliebeanxx asked:

My boyfriend is a golfer, and I love taking pictures of him while he is playing. Sometimes they don’t turn out so great, though. I was wondering if anyone has tips for taking better action-shots of him, or just in general?
(I know Golf isn’t the most fast-paced sport in the world, but i mean when he swings, etc.)

I have a Cannon Powershot, he has a Nikon Coolpix, and we can’t afford to purchase a new, better camera…

You should be able to change the ISO on your Canon. Look in your manual if you can’t figure it out. Making the ISO a low number (100 - 200) will show some motion in the shot. A high ISO (400 - 1600+) is going to make the movement frozen so it is not blurry. Hope that helped!
