I’m trying out for my high school golf team tomorrow. Anybody have any tips?

Golf Freak asked:

I hope I don’t choke tomorrow, because normally i can hit around 20 over, but im afraid im going to mess up and do very bad. Any tips to help me stay relaxed and do better?

Ok, first off don’t worry what the other guys hit, they may be a little longer than you, just hit the club your comfortable w/ and if they ask u what u hit than just say what u hit. Drink lots, you definitely don’t want to loose strength coming into the final holes. Just have fun, don’t think that your competing against other players, but the course. Good luck.

Get some music that pumps you up and gets you in a good mood. Bad mood = bad player.

Always make sure your well prepared and stay calm. Maybe take a good bottle of water or a sports drink e.g. ‘Powerade’. After every hole, take a drink and if you do mess up on a hole, always think in your mind, “It could of been worse, It could of been worse” This always works and it never has let me down. Its a nice tip, you should try it next time…
